The sun has been out for three days in a row and to celebrate, it’s got to be something sweet and fizzy. Remedy Peach Kombucha fits the bill! This ready-to-drink beverage is easy to find on supermarket shelves and buy online in the UK, despite being from an Australian business.
But does it taste good? Is it true kombucha? I am reviewing it to find out.
In my full review below, you’ll find a detailed description of what it tastes like, what ingredients go into each can, and the best places to buy it to try Remedy Peach Kombucha for yourself.
Remedy Peach Kombucha at a Glance
Izzy’s Rating
- Ingredients: Kombucha, natural flavourings and sweetener
- Flavour: Light, sweet peach tea with tart kombucha tangyness
This is a super light and easy kombucha to drink. The peach is sweet and soft, bubbly on your tongue, and the kombucha adds just enough tang to make it refreshingly dry. It’s a great one for beginners.

Opening the can, the initial aroma is of fermented peaches. It is sweet and soft, juicy fruit notes meet the vinegary dryness of kombucha. There’s no complexity here whatsoever but I don’t mind that in the slightest. The peaches and kombucha are ticking all the boxes to make this a mouthwatering beverage before I’ve even taken a sip.
It’s a carbonated drink, so it bubbles and fizzes up when you pour it into a glass. The colour of the kombucha – often missed when you drink straight from the can – is a cloudy pale yellow. It’s not too far from the colour of actual peach juice and green tea, and taking an early peek at the ingredients list shows that there’s no colouring used, so that’s all natural.
The flavour is, admittedly, quite tame for a kombucha. It doesn’t tickle my nose with that balsamic edge, or pull in my cheeks with sour tartness, but it has a very pleasant tang that’s balanced nicely with the sweetness of the peaches.
Remedy Peach Kombucha would be a great alcohol-free alternative to drink at the pub or take with you on a picnic. It’s made for sunny weather!

What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a fermented food, like kimchi or even yoghurt. The tea is mixed with sugar and live cultures (bacteria and yeast) then left to ferment. The result is a probiotic-rich tea beverage with a tangy flavour.
The live cultures use all of the sugar during the fermentation process, resulting in a sugar-free beverage at the end. That, and the gut benefits of fermented products, is why kombucha is popular not just among tea drinkers but wellness folk too.
Remedy’s kombucha, however, contains additional ingredients that make the beverage more focused on flavour than health. I’ll explain that next.

About Remedy Kombucha
Remedy claims to be Australia and the UK’s favourite kombucha brand. The founders started making kombucha in their Melbourne kitchen and now they are mass producing kombucha like nobody’s business.
Despite being such a huge name in the kombucha industry today, their beverages are brewed the “old school” way with live cultures in small batches for 30 days. This ensures that all the sugar you see listed in the ingredients is consumed by the live cultures, resulting in a sugar-free beverage.
However, it is worth noting that this kombucha isn’t as natural as their marketing would have you think. The peach flavour comes from natural flavouring (which often still uses chemicals in the process) and the sweetness comes from vanilla flavouring and stevia rather than fruit.

The last ingredient on the list is erythritol, which Remedy describes as a flavour enhancer when it’s actually just another sweetener.
In my opinion, sugar is better than sweetener, and the natural sugar that comes from real fruit juice is even better. The closer to nature, the happier I am, so I’m a little disappointed in Remedy here. But, it is marketed as a ‘no sugar’ beverage, so sweeteners are to be expected.
Summary
Remedy Peach Kombucha is light, tangy and sweet with good peach flavours. It’s definitely a drink that I’d recommend to anyone just getting into kombucha and exploring the world of fermented tea. It’s easy to find in the supermarket but to get the best deal, you’ll often need to find it on Amazon instead.

Tea Recommendation
The canned sparkling tea niche is starting to grow in the UK. How can I tell? Well, when the big names in the industry start to get involved, that’s a big clue. I recently reviewed Twinings Boost Sparkling Tea and found it to be utterly delicious (even though their tea claims are a bit dubious).
