Hello there, Christmas shopper. It’s that time of year (or possibly a few months early) so you are no doubt looking for the best tea advent calendars in the UK again. Well, you’ve come to the right place. This guide, which is really just a long list of exciting advent calendars, will fill you with festive cheer.
Each advent calendar for tea lovers has been selected by yours truly for the 2025 Christmas season – I’ve even had the chance to try a few for myself in past years. The only rule is that the calendars are either from a UK-based company or sold and shipped from somewhere within the UK.
P.S. don’t forget that I also have a list of Quirky Gifts for Tea Lovers for lovely presents you can give to other tea lovers in your life!
Whittard – The Tea Advent Calendar

- Tea Format: teabags
- Cups per Day: 2
- Flavour Selection: 19 flavours from the standard Whittard range and some Christmas exclusives
- Christmas Level: 6 out of 10
The Tea Advent Calendar from Whittard of Chelsea is one of the favourites on my list. This calendar is the first of two that Whittard have this year – the other is a ‘Loose Leaf Tea Advent Calendar for Two’ and is vastly more expensive. This calendar is more budget-friendly and provides two teabags per day for 24 days – there are 48 teabags in total.
My Christmas level rating for this calendar is pretty average. In previous years, Whittard calendars had drawers and were reusable. However, this year the calendar has perforated windows to open with the teabags behind them. The box is nice and festive, but it won’t be a keepsake once the season is over.
Three out of the 19 tea flavours included are Christmas themed. These are Christmas Tea, Festive Breakfast, and Mulled Wine. Poor effort! The other 16 are standard Whittard tea blends, from Darjeeling to Rooibos to Very Berry. Nothing you can’t buy separately.
Ultimately, Whittard always deliver great quality tea but their festive spirit is somewhat lacking. If you love Whittard and don’t need to scream Christmas from the rooftops when December 1st hits, then it could be the British tea advent calendar for you!
Bird & Blend Matcha Advent Calendar

- Tea Format: matcha powder
- Cups per Day: 2
- Flavour Selection: pure and flavoured matcha
- Christmas Level: 4 out of 10
As far as I know, this is the only matcha advent calendar available in 2024. Designed by Bird & Blend, it features enough matcha powder behind each door for 2 cups, alternating between a wide range of flavoured matchas. Without spoiling the surprise, most of the powders are flavoured with exciting yet traditional ingredients – there are some particularly festive options this year!
Bird & Blend produce amazing matcha, so I highly recommend this advent calendar if you are a fan! You can also buy a matcha whisk separately from their website. If you are not a fan of matcha tea, Bird and Blend have several other tea calendars to explore.
Buy them directly from Bird & Blend or find it on Not On The High Street.
Whittard – The Loose Leaf Tea Advent Calendar for Two

- Tea Format: loose leaf
- Cups per Day: 4+
- Flavour Selection: 20 flavours from the standard Whittard range and some Christmas exclusives
- Christmas Level: 7 out of 10
This is Whittard’s second tea advent calendar option in 2025. Designed for two people, it features 10g within every drawer. The 20 flavours it includes are lovely, featuring just two Christmas blends (could be better) and numerous organic blends (a step up from their other tea advent calendar).
I really love the design of this calendar too. With drawers to carefully slide open and a well-made outer structure, this is the kind of calendar you can reuse year after year. It’s also embellished with gold patterns in typical Whittard of Chelsea fashion.
Now, is it worth the price? This is a tough question to answer. It is a lovely tea-themed advent calendar but the actual tea you are drinking is mostly the same as their standard range. So, what you are really paying for is the outer calendar box and the joy of having enough tea to share every day. What do you think?
Yawn Brew Tea Advent Calendar 2025

- Tea Format: loose or pyramid teabags
- Cups per Day: 1
- Flavour Selection: Choose from: Christmas Blends, Single Origins, Breakfast Blends, or Caffeine Free
- Christmas Level: 8 out of 10
As a fan of loose leaf tea and supporting British businesses, this will probably be the tea calendar I end up buying this year. Yawn Brew is offering 24 tea blends (you choose if you want them to be Christmas themed or not) inside a simple cardboard box with windows. The individual doors are numbered from the 1st to the 24th of December.
Each day unveils 4g of loose leaf tea, which is enough for two cups, or one pyramid teabag. Keep in mind that loose leaf tea can be re-steeped up to three times (especially if you have the single origin calendar), so if you really want to get the most out of your tea Christmas advent calendar you should opt for a loose leaf one. The teabag version only has 1 bag behind each window, so it’ll really limit your festive tea sipping.
In terms of tea quality, selection and longevity, the Yawn Brew calendar wins hands down.
It’s very Christmassy, but where is the glitter? The embossed silver and gold? The 2025 Yawn Brew calendar might slightly miss the mark when it comes to aesthetic Christmas joy, but the tea selection is superb. You can buy this calendar through Not On The High Street.
Bird & Blend Tea Advent Calendar

- Tea Format: tea bags
- Cups per Day: 2
- Flavour Selection: best-sellers and a new mystery flavour (some festive options)
- Christmas Level: 6 out of 10
This is the second Bird & Blend calendar on my list and it is a great option if you want some unusual (yet totally delicious) flavours in your tea advent calendar for 2025. From Turkish delight flavoured tea to biscuit flavoured tea, Bird & Blend are so inventive!
This year, their tea advent calendar has 2 biodegradable teabags behind each door (which is actually a little box) and you have the option of their mixed teas or just caffeine-free teas.
This advent calendar is quite Christmassy and the red/green colour combo is a classic. You can’t go wrong here!
Buy it directly from Bird & Blend or find it on Not On The High Street while you do all your Christmas shopping in one place.
New English Teas ‘The Tea Advent Calendar’

- Tea Format: pyramid teabags
- Cups per Day: 2
- Flavour Selection: 5 festive flavours
- Christmas Level: 6 out of 10
New English Teas are the brand you go to when you want whimsy. Their tea caddies and tins make wonderful gifts, so it should come as no surprise that they have an entire Christmas tea shop on their website.
Within this Christmas shop, you’ll find their tea advent calendar. The box is simple but nicely decorated with gold and blue, for simple festive vibes. It’s what is on the inside that counts! There are 25 individual boxes each containing two pyramid teabags. This is enough for two small cups per day, or one large mug, as each teabag only contains 1.5g of tea leaf.
As for the flavour selection, you are treated to only five different flavours that are repeated throughout the month. These are vaguely festive, with an herbal blend that’s laced with Christmas spice and an enticing gingerbread infusion.
Overall, this is a really nice option. If you also need to purchase tea gifts for friends and family, you’ll be able to use New English Teas as a one-stop-shop this year. You can also find it on Amazon.
Twinings Limited Edition Advent Calendar

- Tea Format: paper teabags
- Cups per Day: 1
- Flavour Selection: Superblend and Soulful Blend flavours
- Christmas Level: 4 out of 10
Twinings Limited Edition Tea Advent Calendar features their tasty herbal blends from the Superblends and Soulful Blend ranges. If you have enjoyed these teas before, then this calendar will be ideal for you.
However, there are some caveats. First, it’s not very Christmassy – none of the flavours are festive even though the outer packaging is quite merry. You’ll have plenty of fun opening the windows to reveal your tea too.
It is a great budget option and you’ll certainly enjoy sipping the teas every day. Tea drinkers that need to avoid caffeine will love it too. The best place to buy it is directly from Twinings, but I imagine it will also be available in some supermarkets across the UK.
Vahdam Advent Calendar 2025

- Tea Format: pyramid teabags
- Cups per Day: 5
- Flavour Selection: flavours from Vahdam’s standard range
- Christmas Level: 5 out of 10
Well, hello Vahdam! This is the first year I’ve featured Vahdam on my list of UK tea advent calendars and I’m rather tempted to buy one for myself. You get five whole teabags each day!
This calendar features pyramid sachet teabags, giving the large leaf plenty of space to expand as it brews. As a result, you get a premium flavour. The blends themselves are from Vahdam’s standard range but they still look quite delicious! I won’t spoil them here, but if you want to find out the exact flavours in the calendar, click the link below to check the price on Amazon UK.
English Tea Shop Book Style Advent Calendar

- Tea Format: tea sachet
- Cups per Day: 1
- Flavour Selection: Christmas themed (many repeats)
- Christmas Level: 9 out of 10
The book style tea advent calendar is a lovely option from English Tea Shop. The style is the usual perforated card windows to pull out your tea sachets, but with an extra “front cover” so that it feels like a book. To be fair, the quality is very good. It even has a ribbon to tie the front closed. All English Tea Shop’s packaging is compostable, from the tea sachet mesh to the outer book itself. You can find the book in several different colours. The navy blue one looks best to me.
The teas inside are all Christmas themed! You have 2x 12 different blends and 1x solo tea, which I hope is under the 25th window.
It’s very Christmassy but not a 10 out of 10 on the Christmas level scale as I know that English Tea Shop has the range to put a different tea behind each door… but for some reason, they don’t.
Pukka Days of Joy Tea Advent Calendar

- Tea Format: teabags
- Cups per Day: 1
- Flavour Selection: standard fruit, herbal and green tea Pukka blends
- Christmas Level: 4 out of 10
This simple and affordable offering from Pukka is the best 2025 tea advent calendar for evening drinks. It contains all the Pukka originals which never contain much caffeine, even the green tea blends. A handful are vaguely Christmas themed (Wild Apple and Cinnamon, Three Ginger, etc.) but most are the usual fruity and herby blends you expect from Pukka.
Pukka have let me down with the Christmassy level of the outer box too! It’s simple and opens up into a hanging long card type calendar that will need to be thrown out once Christmas is over.
All that being said, the price is pretty incredible. It’s one of the cheapest advent calendars that still offers at least one cup of tea per day. I’d recommend this for those who can’t have caffeinated teas!
Acorus Tea Advent Calendar

- Tea Format: teabags
- Cups per Day: 1
- Flavour Selection: 8 fruity and unusual caffeinated teas
- Christmas Level: 5 out of 10
My last tea advent calendar is the option I selected for 2022. Acorus are a wonderful tea brand offering a wide range of unique flavours in teabag format. Their elf advent calendar is the simple fold-down one that can be hung up on the wall, with each teabag held in place.
The calendar itself is quite flimsy and negates the ability to open doors or windows. But where it really shines is the tea itself. I love fruity teas and these are stellar! Some have a Christmas feel, while others are simple fruit infusions.
Acorus have a website, but their shipping typically comes from mainland Europe. Instead, the best place to find them is on Amazon UK for the great delivery options.
