Whether you’re starting out on your Navigation Codex journey or have been practicing for a while, there are some important aspects to understand when considering your daily habits and routines.
The Navigation Codex is explicitly clear that you should follow your intuition and natural decision making at all times, so that may mean some daily habits and routines simply aren’t right for you.
Let’s take a look at how to choose the daily habits and routines that fit your life.
Use What Resonates
The goal of using daily habits and routines isn’t to follow some pre-mandated formula habitually or rigorously. It is instead to optimise your alignment with natural flow, identify where resistance patterns are and use those to navigate further in life.
The goal is to improve your alignment with natural flow.
Below I will outline a list of examples of habits and routines you can use to improve natural flow alignment. You may feel inclined to use all of them, a handful of them or only a few. You may even choose other ways or not use any suggestions.
Essentially, pick what works for you.

Examples of Daily Habits and Routines
- Meditation
- Morning Decision Making Optimisation
- Using Natural Products over Artificial Products
- Emotional Auditing
- Timeless Activity
- Evening Gratitude
- Intention and Goal Setting Activities
- Walking/Exercise
- Natural Diet

Don’t Force Daily Habits and Routines
You may have picked several aspects of the list above or even all of them to apply in your daily life.
Remember your daily life will change day in day out. Your natural flow will direct you where you need to be and sometimes you may find you can’t be bothered to do a meditation or any of the other aspects.
That’s absolutely fine, listen to that instinct. That’s natural flow saying you don’t need that today, let’s move in the direction you are drawn to.
Always trust that navigational compass – even if it seems counterintuitive. It always leads you to better things.

Forget Time – It’s Meaningless
Even the word daily, morning or evening I have outlined above are not really important. You can optimise fully without the time contamination.
Don’t use your time on an accounting system and try to budget when to do things.
Time is not real; it is an illusion that tricks you into thinking you’re using up a commodity that doesn’t exist. It is a byproduct of resistance.
You will find you have an abundance of time when you are following the Navigation Codex and operating in flow.

Prioritise Flow in Daily Habits and Routines
When deciding which daily practices best fit your needs, it is a good idea to do two things.
- Trust your gut – what are you drawn to do? What feels most natural to explore and experience?
- Understand what you hope to achieve from each practice. For example, with meditation are you seeking to have a little solace away from the chaos of the world or allow yourself to relax into a flow mindset to get your bearings on your next optimal navigation.
The goal is to utilise each activity in a way that is naturally optimal for you at that specific moment in navigation.
Daily Habits and Routines are Your Choice
Finally, the Navigation Codex is all about sovereignty and authenticity. Some people aren’t inclined to meditate for example and find it uncomfortable. It may be that in the future this will change, but for the moment, choose activities that you’re drawn to.
Your choice is paramount, so pick the daily habits and routines that you want to experience and as always, it is entirely up to you.
