A Silent Wonderment (On White Shadows)

I don’t know why
Enthralled for some time
Strangers in words
Coming in waves
Now’s not the time
For you and I
To question the minds
Of those passing through
Silence must be
Found between breath
Of song tune and rhyme.
You do all that
And maybe I’m blind
Surcharged is my soul
I think not I know
Behind in the fold
The dull hum of stillness
Emblazons my whole.
A life in the hands
Of peer marching bands
Caught between dreams
Fear my resolve
Meander, meander
Permise heedless ears
Sing for you have to
Preach me you foul!
