Pursed upon the lips of thousands
Stood above the waves
Where I belong above the crowds
Until my dying day
Far from the man I used to be
Unactualised at best
Not yet the man I used to see
But better than the rest
It was once said that still waters
Can run deeper than Mekong
Fortunately the depth of man
Is still relatively unknown
It’s been somewhat concerning
A somewhat yearning of the mind
Flitting back and forth
Gaining strength come over time
I can see outside it’s raining still
That faint perfume of summer
There’s a hint of you upon the breeze
I digress toward the future
It’s only been two days
Fourteen hours, eleven minutes
Yet I still tremble at the thought of you
I wonder what comes next
